What is a tracked record?
A tracked record can represent a product, serialized item, asset, lot,
shipment, container, component, specimen, or other uniquely identified
object managed through OriginSpan.
What is a lifecycle event?
A lifecycle event is a recorded action or state change such as a custody
transfer, inspection, location change, condition update, exception,
service action, ownership change, or supporting-document addition.
How are usage-based services billed?
Usage beyond the included plan allowance, and any separately approved
usage-based service, is described in the written pilot scope with the
applicable allowance, rate, and operating controls before charges apply.
Are integrations included?
Protected API access can be included when required by the approved pilot.
External commerce, POS, ERP, PIM, laboratory, warehouse, and other integrations
are not assumed to be active; each is separately scoped for data ownership,
security, implementation, testing, and Production support.
What billing self-service is currently available?
Tenant Owners and Administrators can review the linked billing profile,
receivables, credits, cadence, and recent invoices and can open secure hosted
pages to manage a payment method or pay an invoice. OriginSpan does not receive
or store raw payment-card or bank-account numbers.
Does OriginSpan guarantee regulatory compliance?
No. OriginSpan is designed to strengthen traceability infrastructure,
documentation, and operational readiness. It does not replace legal,
regulatory, quality, or compliance advice and does not guarantee compliance.
